In addition to leaving that dreaded mark, cheap elastic snaps easily and stretches out almost immediately. We use a thicker premium elastic and encase it in our waterproof fabric, so that it will always maintain its strength.

have to say—this shower cap truly goes above and beyond when it comes to keeping hair dry. I’ve used a lot over the years, and nothing compares. It creates such a solid seal that even when the shower is directly hitting your head, your hair stays completely dry.
The real test? My 3-year-old wears it, stands right under the water, and comes out with dry hair every single time—even though the outside of the cap is completely soaked. That alone sold me.
The only downside I’ve experienced is with longevity. While it’s advertised to last up to 10 years, I realistically get about a year out of each cap, and that’s with hand washing. The elastic at the front/top (the part that keeps it snug and secure) tends to wear out and tear over time. I’ve also noticed that even one or two machine washes can speed that up.
That said, I love the performance so much that I still keep buying them—I actually just purchased 8 more while they were on sale, hoping to stretch that into years of use.
Overall: unmatched dryness and performance, just wish the durability matched the promise.

The Shhhower Cap is by far the best shower cap you can buy. I’ve been using their caps for over 8 years and have many different patterns . They are a high quality shower cap that keeps humidity and water out. I can’t say enough good things about the Shhhower Caps.

I really didn’t NEED a new shhhower cap…mine is over 10 years old…elastic still perfect…but I wanted a new one so I could “share” my old one with my houseguests! I sure hope this amazing cap, regardless of design, continues to be offered. BEST EVER!
