If you've ever had a love/hate relationship, with your shower cap, you're not alone. But before you get frustrated forever, you need to know about the SHHHOWERCAP shower cap. Let me back up: You see, I'm always slightly annoyed when I'm wearing a shower cap because it never seems to stay put—it either slides down my forehead while I’m bathing or is too small when I wear my big curls. While this may seem like a minor problem, finding a shower cap that actually works when you’re trying to avoid getting your hair wet, is a big deal. And lets not mention the gross mildew that gathers around the inner band. (Please tell me it's not just mine.) The good news is, when one actually works and is pretty stylish, it’s a game changer.

Anyway, let me tell you about the new love of my life. It’s called the SHHHOWERCAP, and it’s so damn far from basic I couldn't believe it. The technology and innovation behind the SHHOWERCAP shower cap is pure genius. So you know that crunchy sound most shower caps make when you put them on? Well this one is quiet (thanks to the stretchable fabric) so you can actually hear that background music you love to play while showering. (Just me? OK.) And, it has a sleek turban silhouette so you can forget about your edges getting wet.

Also, the caps aren't made of that cheap plastic you’re probably used to. The Brooklyn-based team crafted a waterproof material that repels water from the outside. It’s also breathable and machine washable (cold water only) so you'll have it for eons. Which is slightly strange, but I'm totally into it.

Best of all the caps aren’t your garden variety pink or blue shades. Shhhower caps run the gamut from watercolor prints to abstract black and white patterns—so there’s something for everyone. But, here's the catch? The caps are $43, which is a bit steep for a shower cap, but if you never have to buy one again it’s probably worth it. And considering they look just like turbans you can wear them on the beach or even out and about with friends. Sound good? I told you it was a game changer.
