I don’t have the Basilica, I have another style which I wish they would do again. The inner rubber band came away from the body of the cap after using it about 20 times. The cap is well designed but is not 100% waterproof on the elasticated section. It is pretty good though and the best I have found so far.

At first, I was reluctant based on the price is, especially when you compare to other shower caps. Then I thought about how much money I spend over the year on replacing shower caps that don’t work well or that get smelly. Plus it’s not great for the environment to go through 5-10 shower caps in a year!! The shhhower cap does an excellent job, covering my hair and keeping it dry. It also doesn’t smell. I should probably wash it but I haven’t because it is completely fine (it’s been over 2 years, don’t judge!). My mom started to use mine when she would come and visit and I ended up buying her one because she loved it so much. I also just bought another one to keep in my travel bag because I get so angry with myself if I leave my cap at home. Worth every penny!!

I use mine at leave four times a week. This cap has a nice secure band to help create suction so water doesn’t enter while showering. Love it.

I purchased my SHHHOWERCAP in August 2018 (it’s a multicolor style no longer available.) It lasted about six years. The elastic band recently started to separate from the cap, so I’m going to need to get a new one. But six years of nearly daily use (I wash my hair about every 4-5 days) is pretty good, and I would have gone though a lot of cheaper shower caps in that time. And that would have benn more plastic ending up in landfills.

I bought my first cap back in the early days! Maybe 2019? So, my cap design isn’t even listed anymore. This thing has lasted me for years. But, I would say that after year 3 or 4, I started seeing wear and tear: thinning out of cap in spots (as part of my hair always ends up wet), elastic loosening (nothing crazy though), and I finally saw some mold spots develop on the inside. :( it’s definitely worth the money though
